• Guide the register to sit facing front of the fingerprint scanner.
  • Check if the register’s finger tips are clean without any dirt. 

*Ask to wipe on their cloth or clean if dirty.


  • Wipe the sensing area with cleaner and dry cloth.
    • Use only dry cloth if no cleaner.
    • Clean the sensing area only when the green lights are off.
    • The sensing area should maintain dry and clean


  • The fingers are to be spread slightly for good image capture as below.      
  • The fingers are to be placed inside the sensing area.
  • Should not be taking only the finger tips nor diagonal directions.




  • Case 1 – Blur, dim image or too much white area 
    • STEP 1. Take a warm breath to the finger tips before capture. 
    • STEP 2. Use small amount of hand cream or any lotion if available.


  • Case 2 – Very focused image but fingerprint area is too black 
    • STEP 1. Wipe fingers on a dry cloth or ask to wipe on their cloth. 
    • STEP 2. Use ethanol (alcohol) to wipe the fingers and dry enough to evaporate.

※ Follow Step 2 if Step 1 still fails



※ Please follow the operator’s instructions. 

  • Please sit facing front of the fingerprint scanner. 
  • Make sure your hands are clean before fingerprint capture. 
  • Place the fingers precisely on the green screen area as below picture.

  • The fingers are not to be placed off the green screen.
  • Spread the fingers slightly when capturing.
  • There will be 3 captures of fingerprints as below picture.
